Affiliation organization
Each user is associated with one or more affiliation organizations.
An affiliation organization represents the institutional context under which data is created and managed.
Default organization
When creating an account, users must define an affiliation organization.
This organization becomes the default organization.
- A default organization is always required.
- It is automatically selected in workflows such as data import.
- It can be changed at any time from the Account page.
Managing organizations
Users can manage their affiliation organizations from the Account page:
- Add new organizations.
- Remove existing ones (if applicable).
- Select which organization is the default.
Key principle
A user may have multiple affiliation organizations, but one default organization must always be defined.
Handle
A handle is the identifier used to represent a user on the platform. Handles are used to invite users into Working Groups. Your handle is available in the Account menu.
Usage: Provide your handle to other users so they can invite you to Working Groups without needing your email address or other personal information.
Notifications

- A badge indicates new notifications.
- Use the Refresh (circular arrow) button to update the list.
- Invites: Working Group invitations appear here as cards/tickets. You must Accept to join or Refuse to decline.
